Our owner was awarded a gold medal for academic achievement when she qualified to become an optician
Our owner and principal optician Regina Duggan qualified to become an optician in 1986. And while she has been delivering unrivalled eye care for the last 30 years, it was obvious from very early on that she was going to thrive in this profession.
Every year, The Association of Optometrists (the governing body of optics) gives one pre-registration optician an award for their academic achievement. Back in 1986 that was Regina herself, after she obtained the highest test marks in her entire year.
Regina says:“I’m fascinated by improving my patients’ vision. I love that I’m able to physically change their lives by helping them to see clearly. I find it immensely satisfying when I’m presented with a challenge that I’m able to solve.”
Since establishing Vision Care in 1992 Regina has gone on to surround herself with a team of individuals who are each dedicated to providing the highest levels of care. While Regina still tests eyes herself, she has personally recruited the other opticians at the practice and is confident they offer the same expert eye care you would expect from the principal optometrist.
