Contact lenses today cater for a wide variety of personal requirements, including eye shape, prescription and comfort. And thanks to the revolutionary materials they’re made from, they can be worn for different periods of time. They also allow plenty of oxygen to reach the eyes, preventing them from becoming dry and itchy.
At Vision Care our opticians have a wealth of experience fitting patients with contact lenses. In fact they often see individuals who would like to try this form of eyewear for the first time; those who wish to change the lenses they’re using; and even those who have been told they’re unsuitable to use contact lenses by other opticians.
Because we’re independent we are not limited to only using certain companies for our contact lenses. We will therefore thoroughly examine your eyes before recommending the product best suited to your needs. Some of the lenses we supply as standard include:
- Soft lenses for daily, fortnightly and monthly use
- Soft toric lenses for astigmatism
- Multifocal lenses that incorporate two or more prescriptions into one lens
- Gas permeable lenses
If you choose to use contact lenses after your sight test at our practice, your optician will take the time to show you how to insert and remove your eyewear safely. They will also explain how best to look after your lenses, and discuss when you should be coming to see us for a contact lens check-up.
